Story in the news not so long ago - 80 yearold lady gets 'DO NOT RESUSCITATE' tattooed on her chest as a form of 'living will'.
My mother is currently thinking of getting a similar statement inked. I personally agree with the idea - I think it's wrong to keep people alive if they have no quality of life.
The question is - would the health authorities actually take any notice of a tattoo, as it's not a legally binding document? It is illegal to treat people against their wishes, assuming they are compos mentis, but if they're unconscious it's called 'lifesaving'.
Any ideas? |

`Having viewed the forum, I thought the question might pertain to the current events section itself. It made me want to see if it is even possible. On the topic, long gone person, I think people should have the right to choose. If you can't choose your own state of being, what kind of freedom do you have at all?
